Do Not Sleep closing party review: You will love electronic music above all else

There are two types of clubbers: those who attend events for the party and those who attend for the music. At Do Not Sleep's closing party at Amnesia, both types were present, but it was the latter who shone the most, with expressions of happiness after witnessing an exceptional electronic night. Because that's what this concept offers us time and time again: underground attitude and commitment without unnecessary additives or filters.
After four dreamy nights, Do Not Sleep bid farewell to this season, giving it their all. It was a daring party with a luxurious three-way b2b set, daring to set the bar high for those who would come after. And boy, did they succeed.
Before the triple back-to-back, we were fortunate to hear Greta Levska, the Lithuanian raised in London, who gifted us with a set full of energetic vibrations spanning a wide spectrum of house and tech. It was a perfect warm-up for the grand performance of the night. When Special Request, Ewan McVicar, and Kettama took to the DJ booth, Amnesia's electric limiters convulsed, aware that something extraordinary was about to happen. The three DJs flawlessly coordinated and surfed in front of the mixer, organically, effortlessly, without awkward pauses. Everything flowed perfectly, and each of them brought their strengths and immense talent to the table. Irish artist Kettama showcased his characteristic house infected with rave melodies and euphoric, deep cuts. Ewan McVicar brought that distinctive freshness in his sound, the brilliance in musical selection, and the positivity that connects so well with the dance floor. Special Request, the project by Paul Woolford, captures the raw energy and diversity of classic British raves. And that's exactly what he delivered: a much harsher sound, merging the energy of hardcore and jungle from the past with modern techniques. The combination of these three merged propositions was a delight to our ears and our hearts.

Do Not Sleep bids farewell for now, proudly reclaiming its space in Ibiza's scene and providing that much-needed seal of quality and talent in our days. We are confident that we will once again enjoy their concept in the temple where they can fully unleash their potential... Amnesia Ibiza.
