When house meets the orchestra: Hacienda Classical at Amnesia
In the year of our 50th anniversary, two institutions that shaped the history of club culture come together to celebrate their legacy.
On Saturday 19 September, FAC51 The Haçienda lands at Amnesia for the first time with a heavyweight DJ line-up and its celebrated Hacienda Classical project, in a night that reconnects Ibiza and Manchester through music.
More than a party, this is a cultural reunion.

In the summer of 1987, a group of British DJs walked through the doors of Amnesia and experienced something that would change club culture forever. Alfredo’s genre-defying sets, the early pulse of house music and the freedom of the Balearic spirit sparked a movement that travelled back to the UK and found a new home at The Haçienda in Manchester.
By 1988, Amnesia had become a global reference point for the emerging dance movement, while acid house transformed British youth culture and redefined what a club could be. The dialogue between Ibiza and Manchester reshaped dance music history.
Decades later, that connection meets again on our Terrace.

The celebration takes shape through Hacienda Classical, the project led by legendary Haçienda resident Graeme Park, reinterpreting essential house anthems in a large-scale format with live orchestra, while preserving the original energy of the dancefloor.
The line-up brings together multiple generations of house music:
David Morales
Inner City (Live)
Todd Terry
Graeme Park
Mike Pickering
DJ Paulette
+ special performance by Alison Limerick, the iconic voice behind “Where Love Lives”
The night will unfold as a carefully curated journey through timeless classics, contemporary sounds and forward-thinking selections, all infused with the unmistakable spirit of both The Haçienda and Amnesia.
Past, present and future on one dancefloor.
