Ibiza Trance: The sound that shaped generations returns to Amnesia Ibiza
Five special nights this summer will bring together some of the most influential names in trance history on the dancefloor that helped define Ibiza’s electronic music culture.
To talk about Ibiza’s history is to talk about many different sounds. But few have left as deep a mark on the island’s collective memory as trance.
For decades, trance became one of the most emotional expressions of electronic music, connecting thousands of people through melodies, energy, and moments that went beyond the dancefloor. Its influence helped define an era and played a key role in establishing Ibiza as the global capital of club culture. Amnesia was one of the key stages in that story.
Many of the genre’s most important artists have performed here, helping to build a special relationship with an international community that found in trance a unique way of experiencing music. A connection built on emotion, freedom, and the shared experience of the dancefloor.
As part of our 50th anniversary celebrations, we are reconnecting with that legacy through Ibiza Trance, a series of six special events bringing together artists who have helped shape the past, present, and evolution of one of electronic music’s most influential movements.
Far from being a nostalgic look back, Ibiza Trance is an opportunity to experience live a sound that continues to inspire new generations of artists and clubbers around the world.
The series will feature artists including Chicane, Markus Schulz, Judge Jules, Ferry Corsten, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Billy Gillies, Mauro Picotto, Eddie Halliwell, Bryan Kearney, and Sander van Doorn, among others, making it one of the standout gatherings of the summer for trance fans.
At a time when electronic music is constantly evolving, Ibiza Trance highlights the importance of the sounds that helped shape the island’s cultural identity.
Dates: Wednesday from June 3rd to July 1st.
