Travel back to the origins of Amnesia with our Virtual Reality Experience
What was it like dancing under the stars at Amnesia back in 1976? For the first time, that story can be experienced firsthand.
To celebrate our 50th anniversary, we have developed an immersive virtual reality experience together with DeuSens, inviting visitors to journey through five decades of club culture, music and history. A 10-minute experience that transports you back to the early days of Amnesia, when the dancefloor was still open-air, the iconic glass pyramid fountain brought people together, and the mornings seemed endless.
Narrated by Katie Knight in both Spanish and English, the experience is divided into six chapters that explore some of the most important moments in the club’s evolution, right up to the present day. Through interactive technology, visitors can explore each scene using their own hands, interact with the environment and uncover hidden details while experiencing the story in full 360 degrees. More than a historical reconstruction, it is a time capsule. An opportunity to experience the energy, freedom and spirit that transformed Amnesia into a global reference point for dance culture.
Following its debut as part of the "50 Years, 50 Memories" exhibition at Hyde Hotel Ibiza, the virtual reality experience will move to the club, where it will be available throughout the season.
The experience is included as part of the Special Anniversary Experience package, available when purchasing your ticket. In addition to access to the VR experience, the package includes a guided tour through areas of the club that are not usually accessible to the public, fast-track entry through the VIP entrance, VIP access, an exclusive 50th anniversary merchandise pack and three complimentary drinks.
P.S. Throughout the club, you will also find three interactive QR points that unlock augmented reality content on your mobile device, allowing you to discover new layers of Amnesia’s history as you explore the venue.
