Amnesia Opening Party 2025: A new leap in quality

At 10 PM on Saturday, May 10th, we at Amnesia unveiled exciting innovations to the clubbing experience, marking yet another milestone in our legendary history. The refurbishment of the iconic Terrace roof, paired with a significant upgrade to the sound system, honors the historic essence of the club while elevating sound quality and deepening the connection between DJs and attendees. Once again, Amnesia reaffirms itself as the beating heart of Ibiza’s clubbing scene.

Since our opening in 1976, Amnesia has masterfully adapted to change without losing its identity, evolving in harmony with the demands of true electronic music lovers. In the 1990s, the installation of the emblematic glass ceiling transformed the audience’s experience, filling the dancefloor with a magic that only those who’ve been there can describe. This year, the Opening Party revealed a new version of the roof, which retains its spirit but incorporates cutting-edge technology to elevate sound quality to unprecedented levels. The result? A clarity and depth that redefine the standard on the island.

This ambitious upgrade was made possible thanks to a collaboration with Integral Sound, +Music, and KV2 Audio, who worked alongside the club’s technicians and engineers to create a system that not only enhances every beat and melody but does so without the auditory fatigue typical of many large-scale systems. According to George Stravo, founder of Integral Sound:

“Our goal is to ensure attendees live a unique experience while providing DJs with the ideal tools to unleash their full potential. This system guarantees not only sonic fidelity but also becomes an essential instrument for every performance.”

The impact was undeniable during nine hours of uninterrupted music. The crowd’s energy and the impeccable musical curation synchronized perfectly, creating an electrifying atmosphere in both the Main Room and the Terrace. Highlights included an epic closing set by Dennis Cruz B2B Luciano, sealing the night with a performance that can only be described as historic.

The night kicked off with Jan, who set the tone on the Terrace at 10 PM with a fresh, vibrant set. As the energy built, Caal took over at 11 PM, setting the stage for the much-anticipated B2B set by HoneyLuv and Mar-T at midnight—a captivating exchange of rhythms that left everyone wanting more.

Shortly after, Josh Baker commanded the decks with his signature UK House sound, followed by the always iconic Vintage Culture at 3 AM, who transported attendees on an unforgettable sonic journey. The atmosphere reached its peak with Seth Troxler at 5 AM, whose mixes always resonate deeply with the dancefloor.

The Terrace’s closing session was an explosion of energy, featuring back-to-back sets by East End Dubs and Max Dean at 7:30 AM, and Dennis Cruz and Luciano, who kept the spirit alive until noon. The morning ended with a dancefloor in full swing, concluding with Diego Kraus’s track “Manitu” as the grand finale to kick off the 2025 season.

Meanwhile, in the Main Room, Katnada opened the warm-up with an energetic selection that set the tone for the evening. Adiel followed with a hypnotic set, paving the way for Alan Fitzpatrick’s spectacular hybrid performance. Deep basslines and rich textures from Marco Faraone maintained the intensity before Adam Beyer took over with a hard yet melodic Drumcode set, featuring unmissable tracks like “Your Mind.”

Standout moments included the explosive performance by I Hate Models, brimming with high BPMs, and the live set by Reinier Zonneveld, whose closing at 9:30 AM left the crowd euphoric.

From the first to the very last note, Amnesia’s Opening Party 2025 honored our legacy. Each artist brought their unique essence, crafting a musical narrative that reflected the crowd’s euphoric vibrations. The interplay of lighting, sound quality, and the collective energy of the attendees made this a night that will be etched in the memories of all who were there.
