Amnesia Closing Festival 2026: 50 years dancing in freedom

From the first dance beneath the Ibiza sky to sunrise on our Terrace, we brought thousands of people together for a celebration of music, memory and community.

On Saturday the 10th of October, we brought our 50th anniversary Ibiza season to a close with a 19-hour celebration that began outdoors, with the opening of the Anniversary Area in our car park, and continued until midday on Sunday, as the sun streamed into our iconic Terrace. More than marking the end of summer, we brought the focus back to what has defined us since our beginnings: freedom, musical experimentation and the connection that emerges when thousands of people share the same dancefloor.

The Anniversary Area: back to our roots

For the first time in our history, we transformed our car park into an open-air festival. From 17:00, the Anniversary Area brought back an image deeply rooted in our memory: dancing beneath the Ibiza sky, together and under the open sky, just as in those early years when music and the island’s landscape shared centre stage.

Luca Donzelli opened the day, followed by a back-to-back from Kolter and Traumer. Joseph Capriati, a friend of the club and a key figure in our more recent history, soundtracked the sunset with a special set that culminated in a surprise appearance by Locomía. Alisha b2b Julian Fijma kept the dancefloor moving before Groove Armada and Max Dean closed this first part of the celebration with remixes of classics such as “Rapture”, “Lovelee Dae” and “World a Reggae”.

The Anniversary Area was much more than a new location within the Closing Festival. It was a way of returning to our roots and remembering that, fifty years on, our spirit still lives in the music, the freedom and the community that comes together to dance.

Three dancefloors, three stories, one feeling

At 23:00, we moved the celebration inside the club, where our three rooms offered different ways to explore our musical history.

In the Main Room, techno and harder sounds defined the night, specialy powered by women. Katnada, one of our residents, opened the dancefloor, paving the way for Estella Boersma. Later, Serafina and Yanamaste shared the decks for a back-to-back that once again demonstrated the Georgian artist’s ability to push the energy to its limits after a long season playing at our club. Nina Kraviz and Deborah De Luca delivered another of the night’s standout encounters, before Future.666 and Klangkuenstler took the intensity even further.

The opening of El Taller was another new addition to this year’s Closing. With its distinctive sound and more intimate atmosphere, the new room paid tribute to the different decades that have shaped our musical identity. Franco Moiraghi, Jason Bye and Les Schmitz, a longstanding resident and the person responsible for selecting the music for our 50th anniversary vinyl releases, connected past and present through a sonic journey shaped by nostalgia and legacy.

On our Terrace, house music and the connection between artists and crowd took centre stage. This musical identity has been part of our history since figures such as Alfredo, Ricardo Villalobos and Luciano helped define a unique way of experiencing music in Ibiza.

Sets from Jamie Fielding, Luke Dean b2b Locky, Marco Faraone b2b Obskür and Max Dean b2b Sidney Charles led us into one of the day’s most symbolic moments: Mar-T’s set. Our musical director turned the dancefloor into a tribute to five decades of Amnesia, combining music and visuals to revisit our history and everything we represent.

As the first rays of sunlight entered the Terrace, Saoirse and Enzo Siragusa delivered a masterclass in house music through a back-to-back that also paid tribute to our history with “Night of the Jaguar”, a classic closely associated with the club’s legacy.

One last dance at sunrise

At 09:00, Joseph Capriati and Josh Baker took over to close our season. Over three hours and eight minutes, both residents kept the dancefloor packed, with arms raised and thousands of people jumping together. The set featured classics such as “I Want Your Soul” and “Benediction”, alongside special selections including Martin Buttrich’s “I’m Going There One Day”. The final track, Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)”, turned the dancefloor into a sea of people dancing together to bid farewell to summer. Even Pepe Rosello, the creator of Space Ibiza, appeared surprisingly in the Terrace booth to celebrate our 50th anniversary.

There were embraces, singing, knowing glances and even a marriage proposal. Spontaneous moments that cannot be scripted, yet ultimately become part of the memory of a night and the history of a club like ours.

Fifty years after opening our doors, we remain a place where music allows people to leave the outside world behind, connect with others and become part of something greater than themselves. Our Closing was much more than the end of a season: it was a celebration of everything we have experienced and of the people who, generation after generation, have made Amnesia what it is.

50 years dancing in freedom. From the open sky of the Anniversary Area to that final sunrise on the Terrace, thousands of people once again showed that our spirit is alive and well on the dancefloor.
