HE.SHE.THEY season kicks off with it's opening party
Amnesia Ibiza continues to prove that it has no rival when it comes to programming. Seeking the most disruptive trends and concepts, it serves as a platform for projects that use music as a means of advocacy. That's why in 2023, an event like HE.SHE.THEY. couldn't be missing. This party offers us both cutting-edge musical talent and a commitment to reflecting diversity and representation, which have historically been at the heart of the roots of house and techno.
On Friday, June 16th, a new adventure of HE.SHE.THEY. begins at Amnesia with an opening party that will showcase a new stage design, their usual performances, a cast of top-notch artists, and many surprises. The soundtrack of the night will be composed by a battalion of DJs with undeniable talent.
Merve has become a key artist in Melbourne's electronic music community. Driven by a strong fascination with breaking down barriers between audience and performer, Merve explores the boundaries of every space she enters. Behind the decks, she delves into house, acid, tribal, techno, and everything in between. Horse Meat Disco is the acclaimed London collective formed by the quartet of DJs James Hillard, Jim Stanton, Luke Howard, and Severino Panzetta, blending punk funk, Italo, house, and other obscure gems. Inspired by the sound of the New York club scene from the '70s and '80s, the collective has gained a reputation for their incredible parties and sets. DJ Holographic is a funk machine created by a woman born and raised in Detroit. DJ Holographic's mission is to serve up a musical feast that combines house, passionate R&B, hip hop, unabashed disco, authentic Detroit techno, and Motown.
The icing on the cake of the HE.SHE.THEY. opening will be the b2b set between Âme Live and KiNK. Few artists, like Bulgarian techno producer and DJ KiNK (Strahil Velchev), have taken the emotional relationship between man and machine to another level. KiNK is a master of performing live, directing an army of synthesizers and analog controllers in real-time. Meanwhile, the German duo of Frank Wiedemann and Kristian Beyer (Âme) has challenged the expectations of club-goers with their conceptually-driven and uniquely visceral music. With over 15 years of career together, their deep understanding of the club music landscape and each other's strengths allows Âme to remain innovative and relevant in a genre that advances at a dizzying pace.
This opening party is the first of the eight parties that HE.SHE.THEY. has confirmed for the summer season at Amnesia Ibiza. It's an event where the word "freedom" takes on its full meaning.
In HE.SHE.THEY, you don't need to appear as anything else... just be yourself.
